Suicide Prevention & Awareness (ASIST & safeTALK Workshops)

As a certified trainer (Trainer ID: n33255), I offer evidence-based suicide prevention workshops, including ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and safeTALK, both recognized globally and supported by caregivers worldwide. These programs are backed by research through LivingWorks and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for their effectiveness in suicide prevention.

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)

  • About ASIST: ASIST is a two-day, interactive, and evidence-based workshop designed to teach participants how to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and how to intervene to create a life-saving connection. This training is used by globally trained caregivers and equips participants with proven strategies that can be applied in various personal and professional settings. ASIST is recognized for its positive impact by the World Health Organization (WHO).
  • Tailored for Individuals or Groups: Workshops can be customized for individuals, small groups, organizations, or companies. Registration is required for all sessions.

safeTALK Workshop

  • About safeTALK: safeTALK is a half-day suicide alertness training designed for anyone over the age of 15. This evidence-based workshop teaches participants how to identify people who may be thinking about suicide and connect them with life-saving resources. It’s ideal for those seeking basic intervention skills before engaging in more in-depth training like ASIST. Globally trained caregivers use safeTALK to help communities, and it is also recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective suicide prevention tool.

Both workshops aim to create safer communities by empowering participants to speak openly about suicide, intervene confidently, and connect individuals with appropriate resources. Participants leave with practical skills they can use immediately.

Resources Available at No Cost: Workshop participants will receive resources and handouts during and after the training to reinforce their learning. Additional materials can be provided at no cost to those who need extra support. Please reach out if you or someone you know requires these resources.
